Keeping NSW schools open will enable staff to guide each student according to their unique needs and abilities. Several measures will be in place to keep schools safe and open, including:

👉 Rapid antigen tests will be supplied to all staff and students, with testing to be conducted before and during the first four weeks of term 1
👉 Schools will inform their community of positive cases and guide families on NSW Health advice. If a student has no symptoms and there is a positive case in their class, year or other grouping, they can continue to attend school
👉 Secondary school students are required to wear masks and primary school students are strongly recommended to wear well-fitted masks indoors. If required, surgical masks will be available at schools. No vented masks or cloth masks should be worn
👉 Where face-to-face learning is not possible, learning from home options will be supported for short periods.
